Halloween Movie Night
If trick-or-treating isn’t your idea of a fun evening, spend your Halloween inside curled up with a classic movie. Grab your favorite candy or snack to munch on, and enjoy one of these flicks listed below.
Popsugar has a list of 15 movies just perfect for Halloween. At the top of their list is the Addams Family. This is a fun show about a creepy, spooky, and mysterious family and the foibles of each of its members.
Edward Scissorhands is also on the list. This Tim Burton film is just a creepy as his other movies, and it’s perfect for Halloween. Popsugar mentions “Be warned: while it may not give you a scare, it may evoke a few tears instead.”
Charlie Brown’s Great Pumpkin is listed as number 5. “This holiday treat from the Peanuts gang focuses on Charlie Brown's right-hand man, Linus, as he waits for the mysterious Great Pumpkin (Halloween's answer to Santa Claus.) Oh, and Charlie Brown goes trick-or-treating — and gets a rock [cue the sad theme music].” Hocus Pocus is one of our personal favorites. This movie about three kooky witches is sure to be one of your favorites in no time!
Along with these movies, we’ve found a delicious treat for your movie night! Two Sisters Crafting has a recipe for candy corn popcorn that we can’t wait to munch on all month long. The site mentions, “So pretty and festive and perfect for a Halloween themed movie night or as an extra Halloween party snack. My daughter and my sister loved the Candy Corn Popcorn. It was sweet but salty and a little bit chocolatey. It was super delicious, easy to make and looked so perfect for Halloween.” This recipe can easily be altered for candies of any season and for any crowd, be sure to consider any food allergies when choosing candy toppings for the popcorn.
